Pointofsale.com is an online magazine for the POS industry. It is our objective to provide an informative and useful website pertaining to the point of sale and retail industry. We want to provide a variety of news, advice and opinion that will be valuable.

Many of our visitors are new to point of sale. The Learn section provides articles on how to choose a point of sale program, how to implement it and keep making money with it. Additionally we are pleased to provide excellent articles from industry experts in the point of sale business and from the retail industry.

Our Founder's background in business automation and point of sale starts in the early 1980s when he wrote point of sale software to run his own business. He started MicroBiz ( a point of sale company) in 1985 and sold the hardware division to ScanSource, a company specializing in point of sale and bar code equipment, in 1994. The point of sale software division was sold in 2000 to CamCommerce.

We have no ownership in any company in the point of sale industry. No one in the industry has any ownership in us. We are independent. Our income, (like a magazine or newspaper) is from advertising.

We welcome user comments and suggestions for the site as well as opinions and commentary. Anyone is welcome to submit an article to be considered for publication on the site.
