In a point-of-sale effort to further reduce IT maintenance demand and reduce energy costs, the M Resort Spa and Casino in Las Vegas has deployed the MICROS 9700 HMS System in its hotel, restaurants, bars, and casino.

Working on a virtual infrastructure, the MICROS devices were seamlessly integrated into the VMware cluster to improve the speed of service for resort visitors and the ease of use for employees. A total of 120 workstations were brought in with the intentions of eliminating the need for excessive IT resources by networking all stations through a virtual environment where should problems occur, they can be accessed quickly and conveniently. This specific line of MICROS point-of-sale solutions was created for handling multiple workstations at once.
